Our Statement of Faith

GOD

There is one God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power.

GOD THE FATHER

God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. He made all creation for His glory and intends for man to live in fellowship with Him.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, the Son, was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross vicariously for the sins of man. By His death in our place, He revealed the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God. On the third day He physically rose from the grave and after a period of 40 days He ascended into heaven where, at the right hand of God, He intercedes for His people. He is the Head of the Church. Jesus Christ will return bodily, visibly, and personally to conform believers to His own image and to establish His kingdom forever. He will judge the quick and the dead and will affect a final separation of the redeemed and the lost, assigning unbelievers to eternal punishment and believers to eternal glory, enjoying conscious fellowship with Him.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit unites believers to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about the new birth, and dwells within the regenerate. The Holy Spirit has come to glorify the Son, who in turn came to glorify the Father.

THE BIBLE

The Bible, including the Old Testament and New Testament, is verbally inspired by God and is inerrant and final in authority. As such, the Bible is completely sufficient and must not be added to or changed in any way.

MAN

God created man (male and female) in God’s own image, that man might glorify Him. Tempted by Satan, man fell from righteousness. Consequently, man is corrupt and is subject to divine wrath. Apart from grace effected through Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, man cannot have a relationship with God.

SALVATION

The only way for man to be saved from God’s just wrath for his sin is by faith alone in the finished, atoning work of Christ alone and apart from works of any kind.

THE CHURCH

The Church is the universal, collective body of those who have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ and have personally accepted the Gospel. The Church is not a religion or a building, but is made up of people reborn in Christ. The Church exists to worship and glorify God, and to serve Him by fulfilling the Great Commission here on earth.

THE GREAT COMMISSION

All those who have received salvation are called to obey the Great Commission given by Christ to His followers. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matt 28:18-20 NIV). This is the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life that shares the good news of Jesus Christ.
