The Videre Entrepreneurship Program
Being able to operate a business offers church planters a unique advantage. It gives them a natural access point to their community, while also sustaining their livelihood. This keeps them in ministry for longer, while also providing funds to do ministry work.
The church planters who go through the training program are native Africans from all parts of Kenya and surrounding countries, often in remote or heavily unreached areas.
Over the course of three trips, Videre takes teams of 3–8 professionals to Nairobi, Kenya, to train these individuals through our 3-phase entrepreneurship program. You only need to participate in one of these trips to help make an impact.
Upon completion of the training, church planters receive a micro-loan to help launch their business, with faith that it will empower their ministry back home.

The Three Phases
BUSINESS PRINCIPALS
During the first training phase we start by covering the Biblical theology of work and business. From there we introduce business planning and an overview of business concepts.
PHASE 1 TRIPS

BUSINESS PLAN WRITING
This week is spent creating a business plan that will be the entrepreneur’s path to success. You will spend a lot of time in 1-on-1 discussion and running and testing numbers in a spreadsheet.
PHASE 2 TRIPS
February 21 - March 1, 2025 FULL
September 19 - 27, 2025
OPERATIONS AND GROWTH
In the final week, the entrepreneurs learn marketing and sales strategies, operations, and cash management as they prepare to launch their business. It is a powerful and exciting week of commissioning!

What to Expect on a Business Training Trip
On this trip, you’ll fly out to Nairobi, Kenya for 9 days to work alongside Kenyan church planters, training them in practical business principles that help sustain their ministry efforts. Their businesses can range from selling maize from a street shop to baking cakes for special events, to even operating a small theater in their village.
Comfortable Accomodations
Everything takes place within the Lifeway Global headquarters, a facility setup much like a hotel with modern lodging, private bathrooms/showers, laundry service, cafeteria, and training rooms. Nairobi is a modern and well-developed city that is very safe and welcoming to Western visitors.
Curriculum Provided
All of our curriculum and training materials are provided for you, equipping you to confidently invest in local entrepreneurs without the need for extra prep. Topics covered include things like budgeting, serving your customer, basic marketing principles, and other business practicalities often taken for granted in the West.
